i have a2005 crv, at the wiper switch there are 14 pins.  I cut the GREEN/ black because i thought it was connected to the fuse, placed a relay, but the wipers still works with remote start.  would anybody know which wire runs the wiper motor, so that i can place a relay with a remote start and the front wiper motor would not work with a relay on remote start...almost like a starter kill switch

Wipers     blue (L), blue / YELLOW (H), black (ground)     -     wiper switch, gray 14 pin plug, pins 11, 5, and 4

thank you, my wipers also have intermittant.

but if i cut the ground  and connect the ground to a relay, will that stop all current to the motor so that if it is left on (L) the motor will not function when remote started?

Have you thought of turning them off when you leave the car?

it snows very much where i leave, and ice forms on the windsheild, so when i remote start in the winter, and if i forgot to turn off, i do not want to burn the wiper motor because of the amount of snow or ice left on the windshield....so does anyone have a better solution.

hi,
where is the fuse for the wipers located...underdash?
locate and isolate the power lead to the wiper motor.
or take a fuse the same style as the wipers use, overload/blow it.
now grind/file the case of the fuse as to be able to solder on pigtail wires, basically extending the terminals. add a fuse and holder the same value that the wipers require and connect to a relay to isolate them when activated by the remote start.

As I recently wrote, once a wiper motor/gear moves off its park position, its park circuit keeps the motor energised until it returns.
Unfortunately fuses (nor circuit breakers) rarely prevent wiper-motor burnout in such situations.
Hence the only solution is to cut the motor power until it is free to re-park.
Tho that seems to be understood here, I mention it to enforce the need to cut wiper power in cases of "seizure", or prevent wiper action if unattended etc.
