ford keypad on a nissan?

I love voice recognition - it's great until you have a cold (the downfall of a few high security systems, and almost one radar system...).

Oh yeah, didn't even think about having a cold and your voice changing. I suppose if you notice you voice changed you could set another "user" up. That way it would recognize your cold voice as well as your normal voice.
Just wondering, but does any one know why Nissan discontinued their keypad? I spend a while on google trying to find some info on why they did. Also would like to find out the manufacture that makes these for Ford and Nissan so I could attempt to contact them.

Because they are an insecure joke that probably didn't work too well, never seen them outside of North America, no Euro or Far East manufacturer markets them as OEM.

RFI chip technology replaced them.

The only time keypads should be used is inside the vehicle to disable the delayed alarm else enable ignition etc.
