HI guys,
Just wanted to say thanks to all of the replies I received regarding my remote start / transponder install. I have one more question though. When I remote start my vehicle, I hear this strange sound that sounds like a loose heat shield on the cat or exhaust or a loose piece inside an exhaust component or possibly the starter getting not getting enough power. However, the sound is non-existent when I physically start my vehicle with the key itself. Anyone have an idea of what it might be? And what is the fix?
Again, I have a 2000 Nissan 2.4 Ltr, chip key, Autopage RS 720 remote starter installed.

That's what I'm thinking. It sounds like your starter is continuing to crank after starting. Do you have tach hooked up and programmed or what engine sensing are you using?

How did you connect the 2nd starter? And please don't tell me you just jumpered off the main starter...

I quote "No tach or anti-grind connected" and there's your answer, also possibly starters 1 and 2 wired in the wrong order.
Leaving it in tach mode without programming will cause the R/S to run for up to 15 seconds with the starter engaged.

You were told this plus conflicting colours in a previous thread, did you even test as advised or just do the amateur trick of just blindly connecting without testing?
