Hello all.....in need of a bit of help troubleshooting an Autostart 1725SH/GMBP installed in a friends truck (2001 Chev Silverado). Door lock/unlock works fine but will not attempt r/s (does not engage starter) ...parking lights flash 4 times after failure (this code seems to indicate r/s seeing 12V on the brake input and cancelling). I have verified this not to be the case...also been through all other connections start to finish and all check ok. Vehicle enters into/out of valet mode fine.

Interestingly, any action requiring brake pedal input (module reset, tach learn) doesn't complete, so I'm starting to think the brain is faulty (brake circuit)?

Any advice/input much appreciated....Al

hi,
have you tested the brake wire with a multimeter?..leaving it connected also while trying to remote start? have seen the gm trucks with poor grounds on the taillights. the parking/tail light circuit will backfeed onto the brake light circuit.
