okies... so this will be a simple answer I'm sure but it's escaping me at the moment. I don't expect you guys to be familiar with the car but for giggles... it's a 2011 Ford FG Falcon. Anyway, on with the show.
So, trunk release is sorted and I can trigger the motor through a relay. But the problem lies in the exterior trunk release button. Since the only way I can drive the central locking is via the actual motor wires (CANBUS with no interface option)it doesn't "disarm" or "arm" the OEM Keyless entry. Hence forth, the trunk always responds to the exterior trunk button.
I need to interrupt that signal. Found the wire, thats no dramas, now I know I could use the GWA to interrupt but then means I would need to have the coil active while it's armed and we know how the battery will like that.
Any thoughts?

Given that there is no internal boot switch there is actually no reason why I can disconnect that switch and do what I want with it...
Anyone in disagreement? Only time interrupt relay will be active is when button is pushed while armed? For fun I could then invert the polarity through another relay and feed a ground signal to the warn away trigger on a sensor right?

I have a different idea that might do what you want.
86: 12 volts constant
85: domelight supervision output from Viper
87: wire cut from switch
87a: no connection
30: wire out to solenoid
How it works:
When Viper is disarmed, domelight supervision makes an output for, I think, 30 seconds. Also, when ignition is turned off, domelight supervision comes on for a short time as well.
Therefore, you'll have access to your trunk button for a short time after unlocking the car, and also after shutting the engine off.
I'm pretty sure you can make some changes to the domelight supervision output in programming. If you turn the "ignition controlled domelight" feature to off, that will keep the relay from coming on when you shut the car off, but you can always just press Viper unlock again when you need to.

Chris good point there. As the customer has also asked for the PKE to be fitted. Thanks for your input.
