So I'm going to install a remote start in a 2010 mazda 3 without push button start. The remote start model is a Python 4206p and the bypass is a Omegalink OL-MDB-All. This is going to be my first remote start I have ever put in but it doesnt seem to hard? remote start in a 2010 mazda 3 -- posted image. I have install a old viper alarm in one of my old vehicles and have wired numerous stereos in cars. So I'm hoping it will be similar.

Now I already flashed to the specific car and got the right firmware on it, but now for the hard part... lol I have the documents I believe I need, which is the Direct Wire 2.0 print out of the specific vehicle and the "install guide" to the bypass. The car has a factory alarm so I'm wondering do I need to do anything special with relays? Also the remote start and the bypass link between the two both offer D2D and I have the right wire that fits both of them but will the remote start work D2D to that brand of bypass? Or does it have to be the DEI brand of bypass? (DB-ALL)

Forgot to add that I want to add the trunk pop and the rear defroster too... So I'm wondering out of all these wires, which ones do I "need"?

I'll answer the easy question.  If you wish to use the D2D connection between the bypass module and the
Python 4206p, just make sure you flash the bypass module with the OL-AL(MIB)-FM2 firmware, not the
ADS-AL(TB)-FM2 version.  Also, set the Installation Mode Selection to Data Mode ( 1 blink ) and lock it in
as detailed on Page 12 of the install guide.
Soldering is fun!

Ok good, I got the right firmware flashed on it. And I did see how to put it into D2D mode but I wanted to make sure they were compatible that way.

My next question is which wires do the blue and green wire on the door lock, 3 pin connector connect to? They are 500 mA (-). Also, which wires do the lt. GREEN/ black which is the factory alarm disarm output (-200mA) which is pin 4 on the 24 pin connector. And which one does the factory alarm arm output (GREEN / WHITE)(-200mA) (pin 24 on the 24pin connector) And for the door input (pin 6 on the 24 pin connector)(green wire)

Also, for the tach input, do you suggest using the one of the tach wire at the PCM? (red, brown, pink or purple)
