So, hopefully a quick question. With the Directed PKE system, why does it have a brake input?

What model are you referring to? i dont remember any with a brake wire

Yep, thats the one. Turns out when a door is opened and closed, after receiving 12+ on the brake wire, it will allow the fob to enter sleep mode until a door is opened again. Otherwise, the fob is active while driving greatly reducing battery life.
Can I just say, I just LOVE this unit.
I fitted one today for a customer who was travelling trouble with their kids taking the car keys and going for a joy ride. I as able to add a starter kill that only the PKE can disable.. ignores factory remote.
Personally, I think a swift kick in arse would've been a more cost effective solution... but you know parenting these days, all love and light!
