You can just use an ADSALCA box, its a simple solution and easy install and works well. We use them for dealer work and have no issues to speak of. Buy local so they can flash it with the current software for you, if you buy it online you are gonna have to buy a loader as well.
double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer

Yes Ravendarat is right.
The iDatalink ALCA or the identical (rebadged with Audiovox brand name on it) FLCAN, flashed with the correct firmware for your car, is the one you want.
---It'll give you tach, door and trunk status, locks, and I think trunk pop
---Does transponder bypass the easy way, with wire connections at the OBDII port
---Is compatible in data-to-data mode with the 997C, so if the car owner uses the buttons on the Toyota key, it'll arm and disarm the 997C without any false alarms.
You could use the FLTB1 for transponder bypass only, and it's a little cheaper, but you'll have to wire up your own locks and trunk, and also, it won't allow the OEM Toyota remotes to control the alarm.
