I am attempting to install an Avital 4113 on a 2005 Chevy Cobalt Base. I have what I thought to be everything hooked up, but it is not functioning. I was able to get the tach learned and remoted program with confirmation of the horn honking. When I press the remote I hear clicks under the hood and the heater comes on and it does this twice, but no cranking. I am using a xk06 bypass and when I plug that in I get the confirmation led, but when I go to program it the light stays solid and does not blink while I hold the button. I have attempted RS with the keys in the ignition and still no cranking. I may have multiple problems, but I'll mention what I have hooked up. First when using d2d the second wire harness does not get used, correct?

List the wire connection from the xko6 to the vehicle, cuz it seems as though you didn't use the GWR wire from the remote starter to activate it .

From the xk06 to the remote start I only used the d2d and did not connect the other harness. Does the d2d not take care of everything?

Do yourself a BIG favor and connect the XKO6 wire to wire to the car and remote starter following the install diagram on Xpresskit.com it will make your life much easier and follow the programming for the module as per install and please make sure you verify all wires before connecting . Good luck

I am going to go ahead and w2w connect the bypass. However, shouldn't the RS work with the key in the ignition even if the bypass was not hooked up? I get a few relay clicks under the hood, but no cranking.

The car is a combination of Passlock 2 and passkey 3.With the key in the ignition you're giving the car 1 of the 2. Thats why everything turns on but it doesnt crank. I agree with using the XK06 W2W vs. D2D. Also, in order to use D2D on a 4113 the remote start has to be put into D2D mode. there should be an addendum sheet in the box telling you how to do so. I dont recall the steps off the top of my head, but GWR is a common issue with D2D mode.
Also, what did you mean by you didnt use the other harness. If you have an XK06 and you only used the D2D harness, its completely useless. You have to hook up the required wires in the other harness to the vehicle.

Originally I thought the d2d toom care of everything so I did not have the separate harness hooked up. I am still going to go ahead and do it w2w so I know there isn't an issue with that part. I was also able to switch the 4113 over to d2d by applying ground to the blue/white wire and applying power to the box.

Also the light output shows it can accept +/-. I have it hooked into the negative parking light, is there a switch to select what input?

XK06 wiring diagram shows 2 connectors on the ignition I found the green connector which has the white Resistor code wire. It says there is also a black 5 pin connector which I cannot locate. Can anyone provide a picture or better location please.
