2000 buick regal with the vats passkey. I am installing a bulldog remote (start only) unit. Model 500B, rushing headlong against the advice of the local stereo shop, and most of what I have read on the internet, however I have installed several of these for my personal use with no problems, at least while I owned the vehicles. Now I have the regal, an old work car that I am not really concerned about someone stealing, it is out here in the boonies, or in the security monitored parking lot at work most of the time. I have studied and researched this forum and youtube, and I think I am comfortable with disabling the passkey system forever, instead of using a relay or bypass module. Is it really as simple as soldering the correct resistor in the passkey wiring? I bought a mini relay, but I don't see a diagram for using it, but I know it functions the same as a larger relay....trying to make this install simple as possible. Please help soon, I want to begin install tomorrow..thanks guys!
