Installed an Viper 4103 remote start system in a 2007 toyota with factory alarm, the car will crank but not start. I can insert the key in the switch and use the remote start the car will crank and run. So that leads me to the key sense circuit. In reviewing the wiring diagram it states "using the status output to trigger this wire during remote start wii disarm the factory alarm without unlocking the doors"

So in looking at the Viper 4103 install guide i see in the "Satellite Harness" Blue (-) 200mA status output- So I connected this wire to the blue/black wire of the cars ignition harness STIll no go without the key in the switch

Question do they mean to use the wire in the satellite harness OR use the H3/5 2nd status output

thanks in advance for your help

Which model Toyota is in question and which bypass are you using?

It's not keysense, it's an immobilizer issue.
If it's a Toyota with a factory alarm and you don't hook up keysense, the factory alarm will sound during remote start, but the engine will still start and run.
And I was going to say what dasboogie said.

Thanks for the fast responce, Its a 2007 Toyota Corolla

In reviewing the install instruction for the Viper 4103 i dont see where there are any connections for the Immobilizer, I know where the wires are for the DATA BUS, CAN BUS HIGH and LOW are, but what wires from the Viper to make the connection?

thanks

Sorry meant to add the connections that I have made

Main Harness (H1)

H1/1 -200mA factory alarm disarm connected to Green (driver door key lock) -driver kick, white 10 pin plug, pin 6

H1/2 -200mA  factory alarm rearm connected to blue / YELLOW (driver door key lock) -driver kick, white 10 pin plug, pin 7

H1/8 - Ground

H1/9 - light flash + green driver kick harness to rear

H3 Remote start harness

H3/1 neutral start switch- wired to ground thru small toggle switch

H3/2 Tachometer input --black wire at the ECM far left plug pin 5

H3/3 brake shutdown input -- connected to GREEN / WHITE at brake switch

Had the Door lock 3 pin harness connected but since have disconneted it since the dorrs where being handled by the factory arm/disarm

tryed the satellite harrness  blue wire "(-) 200mA Status output to the keysense wire at the key switch blue/black)

just not sure what i'm missing at this point mainly if the Immobilizer needs to have a connection (not sure where the module is either)

Thanks

Kirk

You probably need a:
Key Override All or A DB-ALL, or PKALL
http://www.xpresskit.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=null&year=2007&make=Toyota&model=Corolla&ps=1&s=0&c=0
https://ifar.ca/en/vehicles/toyota/corolla/2007/
These are used to simulate a key during remote start.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions
