Hi all.  I'm just writing to make a suggestion.  I don't know if newbies like me are allowed to make suggestions but here it goes.  I was noticing while reading thru the car security forum that a large percentage of the issues here are in relation to remote start, as mine was.  So I said to myself, "Self, why don't you put in new topic a suggestion for a new forum called 'remote start'?"  So anyways that is my suggestion.  I believe this will help reduce the congestion on the server since members will go directly to that forum rather than searching through this one.  So if it is a good idea, great if not that is ok too.

p.s.  I still can't get my remote on my QX4 to work from my previous post.

Yes, everyone's suggestions are welcomed and should be made in the " New Ideas" forum.

While it seems like a good idea at first, most remote start systems are also car security systems. Creating an additional forum would not reduce any congestion at all on the server, but would increase the load placed on the server by having yet another forum to query, list, search, etc. when you load any page in any forum.

With regards to your "p.s.", try posting another message in your original thread.

Thanks for your response and info.  I now know where to post any 'new ideas' I may have.

With regards to my "p.s.", I am going to try to mess around with it this weekend and if I find anything new or have new questions I will post it.  This is a GREAT site.  (sorry for the yelling)New Forum -- posted image.
