ive connected a new prostart in a 93 toyota 4runner. i had a marksman m7 in before so was easy swap and finding wires. so ive been able to program remotes. than im able to program into ready mode(its in a standard so needs to be done). after i close door and hit lightning button it kills enjine. which means its fininished programing. so after that i should be able to remote start. but it just gives me one flash of lights. which says its either ready mode not activated, or tach signal not learned. now ive tested tach and is correct wire.(same as old starter i had in vehicle). what might be causing this. is there any of those auxiliary wires that might need to be connected but havent due to its just a straight install

It doesn't seem like it's entering ready mode. If it successfully enters ready mode, the lights will flash 3 times quickly.
No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

I'm not sure if I missed it but did you actually program the tach signal to the remote starter?

ive gone through that today trying to program the tach. it does register the tach when im only setting up tach but when i go to put it into ready mode after it doesnt give me the three parking light flash, but it registers and i get out of vehicle as it says to with key and its still running.i hit the lightning button it dies as it should. than go to start it and it just gives me one blink again saying not registering tach(standard) or not in ready mode. i dont get it. i must be doing something wrong. is that negative while running wire have anything to do with it. i dont see why it would. all main wires have been connected. hand brake, brake, park lights, door pin. i havent even done the starter kill with relay yet till i get it working, just have starter wire connected straight to starter. frustrating
