2007 nissan maxima fog lights

Hello everyone I have 07 maxima needs to re wire the fog lights with the parking lights any ideas how to do it ? Thanks

Rewire it with the parking lights? Parking lights (+) feeds fog light switch feeds (+) to fog light relay pin #86 with ground on #85. Pin #87 to +12v, #30 to the fog lights (+) themselves. Fog light ground to chassis/ground. Is that what you need? If so I hope it's clear enough. I should add for relay activation and the fog light switch you can also go backwards. Parking light (+) feeds pin #86 on fog light relay, pin #85 (-) goes to the fog light switch, other side of switch goes to ground. In this configuration the fog light switch supplies ground to the relay, the parking lights supply +12v. When you have both power and ground the relay activates and like magic you have fog lights.

Apart from the fact that in many countries front fogs are only permissible via the low beam circuit via a separate switch.

The law Downunder was fogs without low beam - nor high beam (obviously) - but as we discussed before, I don't know if that law changed since many new vehicles have what seem to be fogs (under grills or bumpers etc, albethey white) which are on with low beams. IE - the Regulations were fogs or lows, but not both. And of "fogs" were the front & low "beams" - traditionally yellow - and did not include other side or rear lighting.

Oh how I wonder what your talking about, a fog light that isn't down low under grills or bumpers and isn't white ever.

Are you saying fog lights are never white? (As in fwd facing "driving" lights but intended for fog - not merely so that other vehicles can see you.)

Again I say, it is what you are talking about that I wonder.

I wouldn't know, haven't heard for the guy. To clarify my viewpoint, fog lights have always been mounted low beneath grills or bumpers. Mounting them higher cripples the benefit of a low mounting to the point that I debate whether you should still call them fog lights.

So do I - especially for white fog lights!. But they aren't low beams or high beams or DRLs or "clearance lights". I'd probably call them aux lights but most seem happy with fog lights - probably to signify forward facing. (Though I recognise some automatically include rear lights when mentioning "fig lights". Ah - the fun of international forums!) Anyhow, this thread is a mere discussion on wiring "fog lights" with parking lights. Neither Howard nor I have (yet) cared what sort of fog lights - it is not (yet) an issue. Howard pointed out that in some regions fogs must be via the low beam and hence not directly from parkers. I pointed out that here it was the opposite - fogs shall not be used in conjunction main beams. Keep in mind that we are writing for the sake of the OP - this being his/her thread.
