I purchased a Flashlogic FLCAN bypass module from Best Buy to install a remote start in my 2014 Lexus Is 250. The problem is Best Buy was not able to get the RS-TL7 firmware flashed onto the module for some reason. They told me it was saying firmware not supported and it was not giving them the option to select it. This particular firmware allows you to turn the bypass module into a standalone remote start with factory keypad integration. Does anyone here know why they wouldnt be able to select this firmware? Could I possibly have a defective module or maybe they were missing something?

They must have been doing something wrong cause that is a listed firmware to work with that vehicle. I would try and get a flashloader and see if you can flash it yourself cause obviously they may not know how to properly, or try to go back and catch a different installer and see if they know how to flash it right

I've seen that happen with certain firmwares on older 32K modules. But they haven't made 32K FLCAN's for several years now. Check to make sure it's a 64K module, just in case it's an "old stock" 32K one.
Soldering is fun!

On the box it says Hw: AL (64) so im assuming its 64k. The plastic housing also looks different then the last time I used it so im assuming its new.. I ordered a programmer and it comes Thurday, but I just wanted to get some feedback. I guess its possible my module is defective and thats why it wasnt programming.
