hello guys on some of my install i need to have a diode install in between the ignition wire of the car and the remote start ignition wire i just need to know with one it's the best one or the right one diode to be used ? that its required on the idatalink modules . thanks

I believe that if you really enlarge the iDatalink diagram, they mark the diodes as "1N4001". Actually, you can use any diode from 1N4001 to 1N4007, whatever you have on hand. Just be sure to get the band going the right direction.

hello kreg357 thanks for the info. i have another question can i feed a acc,or ign not using a relay just doing a bridge from another acc or ign using a diode ?thanks

I usually follow the iDatalink diagrams exactly. If they call for a diode split, that's what I do. If they show 2 separate (+) STARTER wires and the R/S unit can't supply two, I use a relay to create the second STARTER output.
