Hi all,
Upon installing a viper 2 way remote start I came across issues that I had getting this work unlike other brands. PROGRAMMING!!! I learned how to program starter as an automatic vehicle since it came rom the factory in manual mode. Now how would I come across programming the rear defogger to work as a (-) Latched? Also how would I program the starter to fix door open error upon locking the car? There has got to be procedures for this. I know some info in restricted to only dealers but c'mon really?? You pay for this equipment and can't get any info??

Believe it or not, DEI doesn't want you to be able to buy their products without authorized, trained, dealer install as part of the package.  viper 4704v programming -- posted image.

Here is a link to the 4704 Install guide : https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1170

See Menu 3, Item 11 for the rear defroster.  See Menu 2, Item 3 for the door chirp.  The programming procedure is explained on Page 10.

It's so much fun to do with the remotes, I bought a BitWriter.   viper 4704v programming -- posted image.

Soldering is fun!
