I'm trying to finish installing my Viper 5901 alarm but I'm having issues with the trunk trigger input.
Alarm trunk pin wire is a negative input but my car trunk wire is positive how do I hook that wire up car is a 96 mustang gt

Should be tan/green negative for trunk pin

i found the wire that turn the light on as soon as the trunk lifts up and that wire is a 12v but my viper alarm has a trunk input for negative how would I go about to make my connection

Just use a relay.
86-positive trunk light wire
85-ground
30-ground
87-alarm (-)trunk input
