astroflex 3106 in '03 f150

This unit was working fine and slowly functions seem to be dying. The park lights used to flash when locking/unlocking and stayed on when remote started and now do nothing. Most recently, the 'chirp' sound no longer activates upon locking and/or unlocking. All fuses are fine. I was thinking of running a new ground to see if that helps. Any suggestions?

I wrongly assumed there was a common problem that caused both of these problems plus both remotes didn't work very well. I have since fixed the chirp problem. The siren was bad. I have new remotes on order which should solve the poor button contact problem. The only thing remaining is the park light/dome light function that isn't working. Is that likely to be an external accessories relay off of P2-9? I see that P2-16 is the programmable output which should be factory set to 'dome light'. How can I check the programming of these outputs? Thanks in advance for any help.

the only way to see what they are programmed to is to get a programmer and see what each setting is at. or you can just reprogram what features you want. be sure not to reset it unless you know how every option should be set.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a programmer and there is nobody near Vancouver BC with one that I know of. How would I get one? When you say 'reset' does this also refer to the sequence (open hood, tap brakes, key to RUN then OFF 3x, etc) to add a new remote?
