2004 malibu remote start

I have searched and the only thing I'm getting is out dated information on this. I got a 2004 chevy malibu classic last that I'm trying to install a compustar CS800-S into what do I need to install this? What's needed to bypass the security? What do I need to get the door locks to work?

The least expensive way for a DIY'er is using a Directed 556LW ( or 555l )  bypass module for the Passlock2 system and a Directed 451M door lock module for the locks ( it comes with the correct resistor ).  Might need an extra 30/40 Amp SPDT relay with harness and an inline fuse holder w/20 Amp fuse if you want to power the ACC2 wire during a remote start.Soldering is fun!

So the car is passlock 2? I have a fortin posslock-SL2 v.2 and 2003 is the last year they support for the malibu. The mfg date is 01\04 on the car.

Think so.  Don't believe they added PK3 yet.  The Passlock-SL2 will probably work.  Check the car for the three Passlock2 wires.  It won't hurt to try and get it to program. Soldering is fun!

I agree with Kreg. The unit you have must probably be old (as in from back in 2002 or 2003) and that's probably why they don't show the 2004. I recently did a 2005 Chevrolet Classic (which was the same as your car, but was sold for fleet use alongside the new Malibu) and that was Passlock II as well. By the way, the other installers always hated working on these cars, but I never minded them at all. Most of the installation is done behind the radio, meaning I was always comfortably in the driver's seat with the doors closed and the heater on. So, take out the radio, and the ignition and Passlock wires are right there. I get the parking lights (brown) behind the radio while I'm there. And then under the dash it's just the brake pedal for the brake, trunk switch for the trunk, and down to the driver's kick panel for the locks.
