Hello Everyone
I got a question I am getting ready to put in a new stereo system in my mustang. I plan on building a custom subwoofer box in the trunk to hold
2 Kicker 10" subs. I plan on building this box as to sit about 2" away from the back seat with the subs facing towards the inside of the car with the amps mounted on the back side of the box facing into the trunk space!
I plan on making this box as high as I can get it and as long as it can be
with the smallest in depth as I can get it!
I need as much trunk space as I can get!! So my question is as the subs will be facing toward the inside of the car will this effect the sound of the subs??
the two subs from the shaker 500 system face toward the inside of the car
but those are set from the factory.
the other reason for the speakers facing forward and the box as big as I can get it in there is to cut out some if not most of the road noise that comes from the trunk area!
Do you all think the subs facing that way will be ok???

you will minimize trunk rattle and it will sound ok, but generally when you turn the subs towards the opening of the trunk, they will seem louder inside the car, but at the cost of more trunk rattle
Hutson-
