I don't know if I posted this in the right place but I figured this section applied to the best. Anyways I plan on ordering a vast variety of resistors to do VATS (I know I can oreder the VATS pack from the Install Bay),
Passlock, Chrysler MUX, and other installation applications. I plan on itemizing them in 2-3 clear fishing lure cases. Does anyone have a idea of some good values to get so I don't miss anything.
I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

I would suggest all the values listed in the VATS kit ( pretty odd values ) :

392   3,010
523   3,740
681  4,750
887  6,040
1,130         7,500
1,470         9.530
1,870        11,800
2,370

and all values listed in the 451M kit :

249        665 2,000
330        750           2,700
365        820           3,000
390        867           4,020
430        931           4,700
470      1,000          5,360
487      1,200          7,150
560      1,500          7,500
620      1,870          9,100

plus some known favorites :

47
110
180
210
260
330
480
590
920
1,400
1,670
5,200

I'm sure I've missed some but if you buy a variety package, you'll get the most common ones.

With a nice assortment, you can "build" pretty much any exact value you might need.  If you get the

Gold band ( +/- 5% ) resistors you won't need to ohm them out too often.  Most applications can handle
a 10% variation and still work.  Here is a link to an APP that will help come up with the exact value you
want using the resistors you have on hand  :  http://www.calculator.net/resistor-calculator.html

Soldering is fun!

Resistors are great to keep in stock, in the event you need it.
In my opinion, bypass modules for passlock, vats are so cheap, it's worth the extra dollar to use a digital bypass for consistent reliability.
