tundra r/s idatalink tpms wires

Hello, noob here. Great info on this site!
I am installing a r/s in my 2015 tundra with idatalink. I found the tpms wire behind the glove box.
My question is the wires from the idatalink are way too short to make it over to the tpms connector (j31) behind the glove box.
Do I need to extend the 2 wires so they reach or is there another place to pick up the tpms wire?
Thanks in advance to any help I receive.

You will have to extend the wires over. Just match the wire gauge size and you should be fine. Depending on the unit, generally the length of the tach and siren wire are ample to reach the other side.
IAAI, the connection is a SIL data connection. The easiest place to get this wire is at the TPMS module itself which communicates with the car.

I do the same thing as Tedmond does---tach, hood, and siren wires are all just the right length!
TIP: You don't have to take out the glove box.
Under the glove box, above the driver's feet, is a black plastic panel. A couple of screws at the leading edge.
Take out the screws, and then if you pull a little and look carefully, you'll see how the panel is also clipped in near where the screws were. Use a flathead screwdriver or pick tool to release the clips.
After that panel comes down (you don't even really have to remove it, just drop it down and let it hang) look up, around the middle area. The TPMS is right there. Unplug the connector and it comes down with enough slack to work.
I'd suggest keeping the engine off and the key out of the ignition while the connector to the TPMS is unplugged.
