Hello all My wife has a 2014 Subaru Limited hatchback with factory backup camera her factory radio is the CM631UD I am replacing it with a Kenwood DNX690HD for the navigation and better bluetooth than factory I want to retain her factory backup camera how can i go about this? thanks

on the back of the radio, there is an 8pin plug. This is from the pin side with the release facing up. you only need pin 1,3,5,6 to retain it.

Pin 1 - camera video +

Pin 2 - na

Pin 3 - camera power 5v dc http://www.metraonline.com/part/AFDI-5V

Pin 4 - na

Pin 5 - camera video -

Pin 6 - camera detection (connect to ground)

Pin 7 - ground

Pin 8 - na

Ok but the Kenwood has a rca port for the camera how do i go about doing this?

take a single rca cable, chop off one of the ends and strip the wiring back. The loose metal strands aka sleeve/shield is negative, the coloured core is positive. Make sure you solder these connections. Minimizes thevchance of interference.
