Ok so here is my problem. I am putting speakers in my boat. I just bought 2 6x9's that are 2 ohm and it has 2 6.5's that are 4 ohm. It has a 2 channel amp in it.   So this is my question should i wire the speakers in series so it give me 6 ohms a channel or could i just wire the 2 6x9's to the amp so its 2 ohms a channel and wire the 2 6.5 speakers to the radio? Would that even work? Thanks   The 6x9's can handle alot more power than the 6.5 so i was thinking if i just run those to the amp and the other 2 to the radio i would get the most out of them.

Yes, connect the 2-ohm speakers to your amp (assuming it can handle a 2-ohm load) and connect the 4-ohm speakers to your head unit.
