Ok,
-- on a motorcycle (unlike a car), the black negative wire goes directly back to the battery, right?
-- the yellow power cable, fused close to battery, also connects directly to the battery
-- the red power wire goes to somewhere switched...
MY QUESTION -
Where is the best place to pull switched power from on a bike? And do I need to incorporate a relay?
Thank you,

You can ground to the frame. Switched wire can be found at ignition switch, or at the fusebox.
