I have a vehicle with a drone unit installed with a compustar pro brain that is having battery draw issues. The vehicle is not a daily driver. Is it possible to run the drone off of a seperate battery? I'm thinking about installing a second small battery to run the drone module, and using a relay to isolate it when the car is off, that way, if the battery dies, all that happens is the drone stops working. Will have the drone operate on a seperate 12v circuit than the brain cause communication failure?
