Double check all your thick ignition connections.   Verify that there is +12V constant on all the fused RED / xxx input wires. Verify that the Orange wire is connected to the Pink ACC1 wire and gets power during a R/S.
Soldering is fun!

ok, here's what i found... all wires are connected correctly (as described above)
prior to remote start, I get
RED / black 13.66v
pink/black 0v
pink/white 0v
red 13.66v
violet 0v
orange 0v
RED / white 13.66v
pink 0
running on remote start
prior to remote start, I get
RED / black 13.21v
pink/black 0v
pink/white 13.21v
red 13.21v
violet 0v
orange 13.21
RED / white 13.21
pink 13.21v
with the key in stereo and in the run position while still started on remote (climate control now comes on, dash lights extinguish)
prior to remote start, I get
RED / black 15.94
pink/black 0v
pink/white 15.94v
red 15.94v
violet 0v
orange 15.94v
RED / white 15.94v
pink 15.94v
When I take the key out, still running on remote, the voltage drops again, dash lights come back and the climate control stops. the stereo is on, but that appears to be the only accessory working on remote start.

What do you have the Pink (+)Ignition 1 Input/Output wire on the remote start hooked to?

pink from the 8 pin is going to the BLACK/ red of the ignition harness. I did some further testing. there appears to be a second accessory wire (BLACK / YELLOW) in the ignition harness. no wires are connected to this... could this be a secondary acc to power the climate controls where the pink (in the ignition harness) is a primary acc for stereo and such?

Do you have two BLACK/ red wires, or are the pink and pink/white going to the same one? I would think pink should go to BLACK/ red(ignition 1) and pink/white goes to BLACK / YELLOW(ignition 2).

I have it as follows.
remote start 8 pin.
remote RED / black to ignition WHITE/ blue (constant 12v)
remote pink/black not connected
remote pink/white to ignition black red
remote red to ignition WHITE/ red (12v constant)
remote violet to ignition BLACK/ white
remote orange to ignition pink (accessory)
remote RED / white to ignition WHITE/ blue (constant 12v w/remote RED / black
remote pink to ignition BLACK/ red
The ignition wire set has 6 wires. As you can see above, 5 have been tapped for the remote start, leaving a black yellow untapped and to appear to be an accessory wire as it does not feed 12v until the key ia in the on position. The orange remote wire to the ignition pink becomes live at the key positon in the acc level. When the key is at acc, the climate control does not work...and when in the on position, it works... it appears to me the the BLACK / YELLOW powers the full set of accessories including the climate control... before I tap it, I wanted to make sure it won't fry somethibg... the idea is to bring remote start orange to BLACK / YELLOW ignition.

also, by moving the orange to the balck / YELLOW. the dash lights went out, but so does the stereo as it appears to feed on the pink accessory wire. This is fine as there is no need for the stereo to be on when it's running on remote... I've yet to see any other function that runs off the pink as the windows and all accessories come on as normal now that I have BLACK / YELLOW connected

ok, so new problem... I found out I have a factory alarm... never heard it, and not even sure what it takes to set off, well, other than the remote start.
occasionally when I remote start, the factory alarm goes nuts with no side effect to the starting/running other than flashing lights and honking. I can kill the alarm by unlock in on the factory fob.
ideas how to keep the alarm from going off when I remote start?
