Hey guys,
First, I'm new to the 12v, and after exploring the site, reading all required material, and searching the forum posts, and finding nothing aside from an oem install of a similar piece,I would like to know if anybody on here knows if I would need a transponder bypass to complete the job for a 2009 ford f150 alarm and remote start. I was planning on using a viper (not sure what model) in my step fathers truck, a 2009 ford f150 fx4. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've already done a little bit of the legwork here by browsing the flash logic site, and it looks like I do need one. What I'm looking for is somebody to either confirm that I do need one, or recommendations from you guys.

Yes you would need a bypass and yes like Chev104275 said Idatalink is the best route to go.
