Installing keyless entry in a 1989 Mustang. Reverse polarity door locks. Cut the two wires in the kick panel and made four solder splices. Closed up the kick panel and ran the four wires to the relays. I can easily identify the two switch side wires and their function with a volt meter. However I didn't think about the motor side. Is there a way to identify which wire was originally connected to Lock/Unlock without removing kick panels or door panel? It seems to work correctly wired either way but I'd like to get it right. Thanks.

Here is a link to the DiectFax 1041 document :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1213

Lots of good info.  Reverse polarity is also known as Type c.

Soldering is fun!
