motman, if you dont mind, can you tell me if there is a 5 pin harness and an 8 pin harness for the 850i3?  The reason I'm asking is I', hoping I can leave the harnesses connected and swap out the brain.  If not, I'll just remove the single pins from the harness.

The 5 pin harness is the one that has the main power connections: ground, constant power, Ignition input, output while armed and auxillary output #2.

The 8 pin has the 2ndary connections: + siren output, flashing light output, - door trigger, + door trigger, - instant trigger, aux output #3, dome light supervision.

thanks for the help again

I emailed you the wiring chart and the diagram for the unit.  Let me know if you don't get it.

headlights were fairly easy.
aux-2 output on the remote and alarm can be set to a 30-second latched negative trigger. Push the remote button #4 once, and it triggers the BCM output wire for 30 seconds.
Using this, I wired in a relay to the high-beams. click the button, it sends the trigger feed, that energizes the coil in the relay and bingo. the lights come on for 30 seconds.

thanks motman, I got the email

let me know how the install goes

BTW, do you plan to buy relays for the door lock option?  I think its just standard 12V automotive SPDT relays, but let me know if I'm wrong, thanks again
