Hi all! Long time reader, First time posting. Great site and Good people with great info/advices.

Here is my problem, I recently installed a Autostart-6270 in my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4. Unit was working properly in me service manager Truck ( 07 GMC classic 2500) after he roll it).

Everything is working as per design, doors locks and unlocks, vehicle start and runs ( altough sometime only runs 60 sec, stops and restart).  Except for the park light! Yellow wire  + parklight wire is hot at all time does not flash, and doesn't turn off? anyone know what the issue might be?

Dos

If the yellow parking light output wire is showing 12 volts + all the time after the remote starter is used, the relay inside could be defective or dirty. If the remote starter is a few years old, there could be carbon build up on the contacts for the internal relay. Usually if you tap the module a bit when it occurs the relay may unstick. Unplug the remote starter and take the case apart. Spray the contacts of the relays with contact cleaner and retry. I have seen this happen before on the Autostart units after 5 or so years of use.
