Hi everyone-

Looking for some info on how to hook up an amp using speaker level inputs for 2003 Tahoe with bose system. I have a Rockford Fosgate Amp and was told I could use the S.L.I.  instead of the RCA's which you would have with an aftermarket stereo. From what I have heard I can use the far rear left and right speakers and splice into them for use to the amp input. Would that work? These new Fosgate amps are suppose to be able to convert the high OEM voltage down to acceptable levels that an RCA input would have to work. Please I hope somebody out there can give me an answer. I don't want to change head units because I like the six disc changer in dash. Thanks for any info you can provide me.

Whats up man I did teh same thing in my explorer but I bought I high low level converter from Radio Shack and then just installed it befor my amp. I briught it off teh back speakers then to my amp and with teh converter I converted speaker wires into RCA's and then I just used a 3 foot rca cable to do the rest. Hope it works out for you.

I would suggest a Line Out Converter like this one. It's what rk.mendoza was talking about for converting a High Level signal into a Low Level RCA signal. I've never liked using High Level inputs for sub amps if I could avoid it.
