idatalink bypass, makes life easier

Why dont anyone here use idatalink bypass?

I did not mean to add two of the same post, i got an error stating the sudject was not long enough. So i added to it and it posted anyways. My apologies.

Yep. I think there are fewer install issues with them so you just don't hear about them as often.

I use them for most installs. Look at the first page of this section. The majority of questions \issues are dball2 related. I use all 3. If you do this for a living and don't use all 3. You should. Why? Well servers go down. Some modules work better or install easier in some cases. I use the flashlogic/Idata first then Fortin then Directed. Just what I have found in my 20 years and over 500 remote start installs since October.

+1 with Brownsfan1.  While Viper and DEI has a bunch of name recognition, many installers end up using other brands that they have found to be very reliable.  Most installers depend on good "word of mouth" recommendations and don't want any disappointed customers.  I have used a lot of the older XpressKit modules ( XK05, 1100F, PKH34, etc ) but found that iDatalink was way ahead with the CAN modules and KLON process.  Fortin has always been a solid module and their EVO series is excellent.  As Brownsfan1 mentioned, most installers pick and choose the best module from the 3 major bypass module manufactures for the given vehicle application and that's part of the reason quality shops earn the prices they charge.

If you notice in most of my Pictorial contributions, it's usually iDatalink for the newer CAN vehicles and sometimes Fortin.  While I still use the older XpressKit modules when appropriate, I haven't bothered with a DB-ALL or DB-ALL2.  But even those modules are coming along nicely ( in the right hands ).
