Chevrolet mini van power windows malfunction.

Hi. I have a Chevrolet Venture 2001 where non of the front windows will move in any direction. Both power window motors works when I pull the cables straight from the battery. The circuit breaker is fine, I've got power to the switches on both sides. At the passenger side I've got power to the motor. Both when I press the passenger side switch up (11.8V) and down (11.8V). And like 13,8 V when the engine is running. Se pic. At the driver side I "kind of" got power to the motor. When I press the driver side switch down (11.4V) but when I press the switch up I only get like 1.4V. Can it really be the switch that causes the problem? I've tried 1 aftermarket switch and 2 second hand switches with the same result. I'm starting to think it is some kind of problem with the ground wires? Independent of the maybe faulty switch on the driver side, why wont it work on the passenger side? The power is there! Are they paired in some way? I hope you guys can give me some help, this is my last chance of getting this fixed. The passenger motor is grounded through the driver switch. The lt blu and tan wires rest at ground through the drivers switch. The passenger switch opens the ground and applies 12V to one motor wire, the other motor wire is still grounded at the driver switch. Opposite for the other direction. It seems you have a bad driver switch AND an open ground for the driver switch. It doesn't seem there is a problem on the passenger side. All on the driver side. Thanks for the answer! I think I've to buy a brand new switch... Du you guys have any idea what can cause the open ground? A broken ground wire? Rusty? Corroded? Is it possible run a new ground wire? Let´s say from the car chassi to the "G" on the driver side switch? Would it work?

Sometimes wires break inside the conduit from the flexing. I know Ford Super Duty pick-ups suffer from this, but am not aware of broken door harness wires being a problem on GM's. Put one lead of your voltmeter on the ground wire at the driver switch, the other lead to chassis ground. Operate the passenger switch. IF you see system voltage, the ground is open. I think I might run a new ground wire rather than try to find the actual problem. My wiring diagram source shows the ground point as "G303", but does not tell where G303 is. If you can get your hands on an official GM shop manual with the wiring supplement, these do show the ground locations.

And if you run a new ground, make sure you run it inside to the car not the door. Many Eurocars suffer breaks inside the tubing running between car and door especially Peugeot, very common.
