2016 GMC Savana diode?

Hi All, Installing a remote start in my dads 2016 GMC savana Using a DBALL2 for the bypass and its diagram calls for a diode. The whole diagram is easy to understand and I have installed before. However I dont know what diode to get for this. Help :)

A one amp switching/rectifying diode will work fine. I used to buy them in a 25-pack at Radio Shack.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Radio shack left canada years ago :( i miss them Would a 1N4004 work?

Perfect thanks Ill get it here the source 5 pack 1N4004 Going to do this install dball2 just need to pick up the diode and an rs unit prob gonna use Avital 4103 Just want basic lock unlock and rs from remote. truck has power locks but no remote at the moment.

cant find any wire diagrams. I understand where everything is but would like to proactively know how to get at the bcm and ignition switch before i go up to my dads to do this. Anyone know a site? When I did my cars I used a driect techs site for pics but I cant seem to access this now.

hey on the dball2 diagram on the rs the ignition in/out it shows. that is not the ignition from the ignition harness or is it? I ask because im pretty sure its not an ignition in and out, there is also an ignition on the satellite harness. Ive figured it all out except this.

They both connect to the same wire in the ignition harness. The input just senses when the ignition wire is powered. It does not power anything, hence the diode.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

ok so from the avital im taking the heavy gauge ignition to the diode? i know the wire from the dball and from the RS are going to the same pin Im just making sure im picking the correct wire on the rs side. Im just making sure since Ive never seen it called ignition in/out Also Im assuming cathode end to avital right? Thanks for all your help.

the ignition on avital 4103 is ouput only no input so maybe dont hook up?? i have this on avital OUTPUT TO PRIMARY IGNITION CIRCUIT doesnt say input. Hook it up anyway?
