I purchased a compustar rsg6-al from best buy and had it installed. The remote starter works great, the problem I'm having is when I try to install a tune with my hypertech programmer it will not turn on or install unless I turn the key to off position and then when tune is installed your supposed to turn key to off position for ten seconds before starting. How is it downloading with key in off position? Is their a wire reversed? I called best buy and the said that nothing they did why installing remote starter should have caused this, well it has and I really don't feel like bricking my computer. Any ideas?

This sounds like an issue with multiple products trying to use the same data lines. I have seen something similar to this when people want to use a programmer/monitoring system that plugs into the OBD2 port.
I would suggest cutting the wire from the remote start that connects to the purple wire at the OBD2 port, upload your tune then reconnect the wire, BUT before you do, know that this may void any warranty on your remote start system with Best Buy. You may want to consult them prior to doing so.
If this is a product that will constantly be connected to the OBD2 port then this my be an issue. I would contact the installer to see if they can contact the bypass manufacture that they used on your vehicle to see if they have a flash that will allow it to work with tuners.
