DEI keyless internal relay

I've been trying to add a dash mounted switch to my keyless system with aftermarket actuators. I'm using the Viper 211HV. I used 2 relays to not backfeed +12v into the brain unit and ruin the internal relays (since they rest at ground). The switch was still not working though, so I did some diagnosing with my brain unit and found that I have continuity between my Blue/Black wire and GREEN/ Black wire while at rest. Is this normal? The unit is brand new. If this is the case, my dash switch will not work the way I have it set up because I set up the two external relays for a negative trigger (either from switch or 211HV), but all the dash switch will do is send ground to each external relay since I'm getting continuity in the internal relays. I hope that all makes sense... Thank you! Here is the factory wiring diagram from DEI. Note- I'm not going directly to the actuators, going to ext relays first And here is how I currently have it wired- Lock Relay: #30 to actuators wire that is (+) to LOCK #87 = B+, Hot at all times. (Fused) #87a = Ground #86 = B+, Hot at all times. (Fused) #85 = LOCK trigger. Unlock Relay: #30 to actuators wire that is (+) to UN-LOCK #87 = B+, Hot at all times. (Fused) #87a = Ground #86 = B+, Hot at all times. (Fused) #85 = UNLOCK trigger. On the 211HV: H1/5 grn/blk = #85, LOCK relay. H1/8 blu/blk = #85, UNLOCK relay. H1/7 pur/blk and H1/9 pur = GROUND Dash switch: Use one pole of your DPDT center off switch. Center pole = GROUND One end pole = #85 of LOCK relay. Other end pole = #85 of UNLOCK relay. Circuit description: Both poles of the actuators rest at ground at the relays' #87a. The relay coils are hot at all times on #86. Grounding one relay coil #85, causes that relay to connect B+ to that actuator wire, the other side is still grounded at the other relay. Either the 211 or the dash switch can ground the relays' coil.

This is my switch setup. I'd rather not change any switches out, it's pretty finalized. I didn't realize it would be so difficult to add a dash switch to a keyless entry system.

Admin, thanks. Poster, that's your problem! Go to the left of the gear selector then it won't look out of place. I noticed 4th. from left a switch with a window logo, what's that for?

That is a door logo. That is my power lock switch, and will remain my power lock switch with some appropriate help from the 12v community. I am not rearranging my interior switch layout to add an additional power lock switch.

LOL... I got it figured out. I'd hate to see your car. You do what's convenient over what looks nice.
