installed a viper 5305v in my daughters 02 Jetta automatic with factory alarm. Works fine every time as long as exact procedure is followed. IE ( lock doors with viper remote, press remote start, factory alarm turns off, car starts fine, then press unlock on viper remote, doors unlock. turn key to on position, step on brake. good to go. Now my problem is if ANY THING goes wrong. like step on brake before turning key on or set alarm off or any thing else the next time I hit remote start car starts but stater will not disengage. I though of tach but I have that hard wired. Any ideas ?

On my 5706v you can adjust the starter duration length. Have you looked into that? Like the car is easier to start when it's warm so the start duration is too long? Am I reading it right? I'm a noob but that might give you something to look at until someone smart comes along.

thanks but it turned out to be the tach . for some reason ( and no one seems to know why) it would not pick up the signal when it was cold. I moved it off the coil and onto an injector and that fixed it.
