Hi Guys,
New to the forum and I need help please. I recently purchased a used 2009 Toyota Sienna van for my daughter. Nothing was said at the dealer about it having a remote starter and no remote came with the car. I happened to noticed an antenna attached to the windshield that looks like the antenna for a remote starter. I've tried to attach a photo of the antenna.    Does my car have a remote starter? -- posted image.
Can anyone confirm for me that this is a remote starter antenna? And if so, how do I go about identifying the brand and model and is it possible to buy a remote control for it?
Please let me know what additional information you may need.
Thank you
JoeFixes

Looks like a Compustar AM one way antenna. Follow the wire harness back under the dash to locate the control unit. If it was installed way back in 2009 or 2010 it might be a CM4200. You could take a chance and purchase a used but working remote off EBay for $15 like the 1WAMR models and see if it works. Programming a remote is easy - just cycle the ignition key from OFF to ON 5 times in 7 seconds and then press the Lock button on the remote.
Soldering is fun!

That is just the information I was looking for. Could you tell me what to look for under the dash?

Hey Guys,
I tried turning the key on/off 5 times in 7 seconds.   Nothing. no reaction from the car. I also looked under the dash, but was not able to obviously see a control box.
I did pull the wire out from the headliner and see that it runs down the door, but without pulling it out...I was not able to locate where it goes.
I will probably end up bringing it to a guy and have it looked at, but is there anything else I can try?
Thank you
