I installed a kenwood head unit in my father's 2002 Ford F-550. After installing the head unit, when an adroid phone micro usb phone charger is plugged into the cigarette lighter outlet, and the head unit source is on the tuner, the signal is lost and becomes all static. This does not happen when streaming music through bluetooth. It only happens when the head unit source is set to tuner and the phone charger is plugged in to the cigarette lighter. When you remove the phone charger the static stops and the radio signal comes back.

There is a switching power supply inside the adapter. It is generating RFI Radio Frequency Interference. Does the deck not have USB?

Inside what adapter is a switching power supply? The deck does have a USB port on the front. I want to fix the problem.

Plug the phone into the USB of the radio.
