Hello,
I have a 2007 Mazda 3i with a Viper 5701 alarm/remote start that I installed 10 years ago with the help of the 12Volt community. I have been having issues over the past 6 months with zone 3 (doors) tripping randomly. Since all 4 doors feed thru diodes to the same input on the 5701, how do I go about troubleshooting this?
I am kind of leaning to a bad drivers door switch since there is only one driver and that door gets the most use. Unfortunately the switch is integrated with the lock assembly and that is a $100 to replace and would like to be sure first.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

just unhook the door triggers one by one until the problem goes away. either a bad diode, (meter the diodes) or a faulty door pin.

Ok, that I can do. Wish it was more consistent of a problem. When I said randomly, I meant it. Sometimes may take a week, sometimes 2x daily. Definitely seems to happen more when sitting in the hot sun.
