I have read through many posts and seen many recommendations for wiring information sheets online and here. The vehicle is a 2003 BMW (E46) 325i Sedan. The most recent DirectWire Vehicle Wiring Info for my vehicle was posted in October of 2006 on here and nothing in the download area. I was wondering if someone could post the most current wiring information here or even better as a pdf in the downloads area for my vehicle from DirectWire as I plan on installing a Viper System from Directed. Just looking for the most up to date information and recommendation from Directed when installing a remote start/security system in my car. The information I currently have does not mention any diode placement or tips and I have read several recommendations online for them.

They do not update this info. The 2006 info is accurate.

The reason I ask for this is that most posts recommend adding additional diodes that are not mentioned in the wiring information sheets. The 2006 Wiring information sheet posted here is for the UK version 3 series. I have a 2003 BMW 325I from the United States. So I am unsure what may be different between the two vehicles. Does anyone have access to this information and be able to tell me where to add any diodes and any more recommendations for this vehicle when installing a remote start/security system to my vehicle?

Thank You mgoetz74 for letting me know that they do not mention the use of any diodes on their site. I have no access to any of the Directech DirectWire information in the link, it asks me to sign in.

Sorry to come late here's the indicator info for that vehicle. Pull the lighting switch to access the wiring, UK spec vehicles.
BMW Indicator positions
POSITION     COLOUR     PIN

Left rear     Blue/Green     1 diode 1N5404
Right front     Blue/Brown     11 diode 1N5404
Right mid     Blue/Yellow     3 diode 1N4004
Right rear     Blue/Brown     43 diode 1N5404
Now here's some priceless advice!:-
Use a valet key in a DEI 556U box, wired as Euro type, i.e. cut and join no loop. Using a regular key will give you lock/unlock problems plus valet key = £30.
Connect IGN 2 (pink/white Viper) to purple ACC, don't connect orange from Viper.
Brakes, black/yellow at 16. DON'T use the supplied info, wiring is different between UK and US. That wire is at the lighting switch. You might need to cut and join that wire via a relay, either end to 30 and 87a, Constant 12 volts to 86, secondary starter wire (-) violet/yellow from 24 pin Viper plug to 85 1N4004 diode across 85 and 86, band to 86.
Tach and POS door trigger are at puddle light (red/blue) and OBD socket (black pin 9) adjacent to each other,
Lock is red/blue, extend timing for total (comfort) close. Unlock white/black both NEG in loom at far end, driver kick panel going to door.
Boot release, light green/grey, POS use a relay.
Trunk trigger white brown. Easiest place for last two, right hand floor loom rear of driver seat.
All this work is right hand under dash. Plus siren and bonnet switch, right hand side through grommet above throttle, comes out behind brake servo. Join to brown/green (test) on plastic bonnet switch siren on suspension mount.
Boot lights. to avoid falsing 1N4004 diodes in line to bulbs, one each side.
That's the version for E46 98-04 I wrote for Clifford.

Thank You Howie II, this is the information I was looking for. I would just like to clarify with you since my vehicle is a United States version 2003 BMW 325i which is the correct way you mentioned for me. On my vehicle I will not be wiring each light with a diodes as you first typed, and on my vehicle I will have to cut into the light switch harness (4th wire from the left from Techtip 1055) and add a relay to control the parking lights?
You mention the addition of a diode to the relay between pins 85 and 86, what purpose is this diode serving? Is it to protect the remote start module or something else?
What is "Brakes, black/yellow at 16"? I do not have see this anywhere in my wiring information. I have the Brake wire shown as brown/white wire at brake switch?
Do you recommend any other diodes added to a remote start/alarm install on the US 2003 BMW 325i?
Sorry if I misunderstood anything you told me. You are obviously very knowledgeable about this subject on this vehicle and I appreciate all the help you provide.

I misunderstood you!
Stick with your method for the lights and go to the brake switch.
The diode on the relay protects your unit from the EMP spike when a relay shuts down.
If you go to the brake switch you shouldn't need the relay.
All other factors still apply.
