2 months after I purchased my 2000 Ford Expedition I installed a Commando FM 2-Way Combo RS system. Worked flawlessly for 17 years. Now I need a new system. I was thinking about the Avital 5305l. Is this a decent system? It looks like a lot has changed in the Remote Start/Keyless entry industry in 18 years.I currently have a generic bypass that uses my 2nd key, Should I upgrade to one of the newer style bypass? Recommendations on system and bypass are appreciated. Like to keep it under 200. Truck is currently hardwired but I'll be going in and freshening up everything. Thanks in advance. Expedition is Eddie Bauer and has keyless entry.

look at the Audiovox Prestige APS997E. Much better system than the Avital or anything DEI (Viper, Python, Avital, Valet, Clifford)
You should be able to re use the bypass.

If you just want a basic keyless entry/ remote start since its an older vehicle- look at the Audiovox Prestige APS57E- small unit and easy to install
