Reversing polarity of coaxile speakers

Would anything happen if you by accident reversed the intended polarities of coaxile midrange speakers with built in tweeters? Would the capacitor for the passive crossover(tweeter) blow?

      No.The capacitors used on crossovers are non-polarized. You can connect them any way you want.

what will happen is one the speaker will not handle as much power as normal and if you listen the tweeter will be louder and the bass will not hit as hard or the lo end. its a mid it will have some lo end.

more so at higher volumes. You may get some unwanted distortion too
