Hey, I used to be an installer, but I have been out of it for about 20 years now. I am putting my first remote starter in since then and I have a question on my 2009 Vibe. I have everything working except the lock and unlock. It looks like many of the wiring diagrams say that it is a single and double negative pulse for the lock and unlock. Based on my testing, in the drivers kick panel I am finding a tan/unlock and and purple/lock wire that go positive when the lock button is pressed. Frankly, I don't want to apply any voltage to it with fear that I may be doing something incorrectly.
Any help would be appreciated. And just as a note, 2008 and previous is different than the 2009 and 2010 Vibes.
Thanks!

Bulldog lists black for power lock (-) and pink for power unlock (-/double pulse):
