Hello,
I've had the Avital Tornado 2 installed in my F350 for several years, now. It's sufficient for my needs, but, I have a question regarding the LED Indicator.
Avital Tornado 2 LED Indicator -- posted image.
How many volts activates the LED Indicator?
How many amps does the LED Indicator draw?
Can multiple LED Indicators be installed in series and/or parallel(2, 3, or 4)?
Thanks,
Rich

2.5 volts,
Around 10 milliamps,
Up to 4 in parallel.

When adding more LEDs to the original one, will it cause an issue with the alarm brain?
I'm guessing that resistors need to be added? 250 ohm?

You shoud be able to run 4 without grief after that relay or series/parallel wiring but no resistors you'll burn out the brain.

To properly answer the questions about how many LEDs (if any) can be added, you need to make some measurements to determine how the Avital is driving the existing LED.
Disconnect the existing LED and measure the voltage from the driving pins.
Reconnect the LED and measure the voltage again.
If there is insignificant difference in the readings, then there is no internal current limiting resistor and you should be able to add a few external LEDs in parallel (as long as they have current limiting resistors).
If there was more than 2V difference, the current limiting is within the Avital. You could add one LED (without additional current limiting resistor) in series with the existing LED if the open circuit voltage was 12V.

When I get some time, I'll check some voltages.
Thanks for the info.
