Installing Viper 4105v in 1990 Q45

I need some help with the door locks in particular on a 1990 Q45 that I am attempting to wire in a Viper 4105v keyless entry/remote start. I already did a search and couldn't find anything from similar Nissans that I could use. For now I just want to get the keyless entry working. It had a Code-Alarm keyless entry system that was installed back in 1997 by the previous owners. I am trying to figure out the door locks. After connecting power and ground to the unit I noticed that when I push the lock or unlock button on the remote, I measure 1.5 volts at the output wires for the door locks. I thought they were suppose to read as ground according to the Viper diagram. I'm hoping someone on here has wired up a similar system and could tell me how the door locks are wired to the system. I'm not concerned about the horn or parking light flash option at the moment. Again the system is a Viper 4105V unit. Thanks

Are the lock/unlock wires normally at 12 volts, then read 1.5 volts when activated? If so, connect them as you normally would. They should trigger your door lock relays just fine.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

You really don't need a meter to install on this vehicle, a good quality incandescent bulb tester will do fine, clip to ground and tip to each wire in turn, if the locks are neg pulsed that will activate lock and unlock, far quicker than seeing readings on a meter that you don't understand.

Yes I was able to get it wired as you said. I used an old manual that was emailed to me for an older Viper remote start/alarm from 2003 that actually listed how to wire it in and described how to wire the relays if needed back in the day before Viper took that option away later on. Requiring you to take it to a dealer to avoid losing the warranty. I still have to wire in the remote start option but I am now able to lock/unlock the doors and the trunk. There are two wires that do the opposite of what the color coded diagram states. It was an easy correction. Matt
