Use your meter to find out if any wire is connected to ground or battery positive.
If one of them is connected, it is the other wire that gets connected to the SWI device.

Neither wire is going to show an electrical connection to ground or power. It got ground from the OEM radio. That is why they tell you to ground one of the wires. Having to ground one of the wires is normal in many vehicles. Ground the wire they are telling you to ground and connect the other to the wire of the Pac unit.
