I have a question about some vehicle wiring. I'm creating something for a 1999 Ford Taurus Wagon (programmed key, factory alarm). The wiring diagram is at: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/926.html
Some of the items show a positive or negative next to the wire color. For example, the factory alarm disarm shows as a pink/white jacketed wire, with a negative.
My question: I'm assuming that this is the ground side of the circuit, and that, whether latching or momentary, the disarm function needs to be grounded to disarm. Am I understanding that correctly?
I have some other questions that I will post under appropriate forum headings.
Thanks,

Thank you.
Funny about your ex, my chorus teacher said I had the perfect voice for writing.
